Sailfish (Large Scale in Blue)
Sailfish (Large Scale in Blue)
The fastest fish in the ocean, Sailfish can reach speeds of 68 miles per hour. They get their name from their spectacular dorsal fin that stretches nearly the length of their body and is much higher than their bodies are thick.
This piece is constructed of laminated layers of Maple and 3 layers of aluminum. Transparent colors allow the wood grain to show through adding another dimension to the piece. The three layers brushed aluminum create shadow lines that only the overlapping layers can produce. The texture of the brush marks gather the light rather than reflect it
The metal parts are attached with screws and can be removed if required. The pieces come complete with metal hangers to secure it to the wall.
